ART EXPERIENCES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

DIFFERENT ART FORM EXPERIENCE
I am fortunate enough to be engaged in the Betty Foy Sanders art department at Georgia Southern which gives me countless opportunities to discover new art forms. In my art classes, under the guidance of educated professors, I can fully immerse myself in learning new skills and forms. The classes I have taken include Drawing I, II, III, IV, Figure Drawing, 2D Design, 3D Design, Painting I, II, III, Digital Art and Design Foundations, Photography I, Print and Paper Book Arts I, II, III, Animation I, Materials and Making, and Small Metals Design Fundamentals.
March 30 - April 7, 2017
FORM AND CONTENT EXHIBITION
The exhibition honors the rigorous work of students in art foundations courses, such as Drawing I, Drawing II, 2D Design, and 3D Design. Art foundations courses provide students with the fundamentals of art and create a solid infrastructure that is needed for a career in fine arts. Form & Content was juried by national artist and University of South Carolina Professor of Sculpture Naomi Faulk.

FORM AND CONTENT EXHIBITION
Form & Content will feature work created in Art foundations courses Drawing I, 2D Design, 3D Design, and Digital Foundations. It was juried by Michael Marks, an Associate Professor of Art at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University.

TINY EXHIBITION
Gallery 303 presents a gallery for artwork that is unconventionally small (longest dimension no greater than 6 inches) in the Arts Building on the Statesboro Campus. Open to all mediums, skill levels and styles.
April 5 - April 12, 2019
FORM AND CONTENT EXHIBITION
Form & Content will feature work created in Art foundations courses Drawing I, Drawing II, 2D Art and Design Foundations, 3D Art and Design Foundations, and Digital Foundations. The exhibition was juried by Ben Tollefson. Tollefson is a nationally-exhibited artist and an assistant curator at the SCAD Museum of Art.

UNDERGRADUATE EXHIBITION
The Juried Undergraduate Exhibition will feature artworks and graphic design projects of any media. It was juried by Susan Laney is the owner and director of the Laney Contemporary Gallery in Savannah, Georgia.

CLEARLY HUMAN IV
The St. Louis Artists’ Guild is proud to host Clearly Human IV, an all-media group exhibition of artwork focused on the human figure. Clearly Human gives a comprehensive look at the many ways of representing the human figure, from traditional to contemporary, realistic to fanciful, beautiful to unsettling. The exhibit seeks a diverse view of humanity representing subjects varying greatly in gender, age, ethnicity, and nationality. The artists are encouraged to use the figure to explore a wide variety of themes, including definitions of beauty, perceptions of history, relationships with nature, and moments of everyday life.

UNDERGRADUATE EXHIBITION
This exhibition features the variety of media taught within the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art, which includes drawing, painting, jewelry, multimedia, mixed media, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics.
The exhibition will be juried by Stephen Knudsen. Knudsen is an artist, art critic, and educator based in Savannah. As an artist, Knudsen’s work focuses on the American sublime, and as an art critic he has edited and written for multiple regional and national publications, both online and in print. As an educator, Knudsen’s specialties include advanced color theory, conceptual development, design strategies and narrative modes of artmaking.
